Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

Under our cancellation policy, the guest must cancel at least 7 days prior to check-in for a full refund of the accommodation fees.

If a guest cancels within 7 days of the check-in date, then the first night of the booking will not be refunded and only 50% of the accommodation fees for the rest of the booking will then be refunded. If the guest decides to cancel after check-in then 50% of the accommodation fees for any unspent nights are refundable. However, any nights spent will not be refunded.

What is your pet policy?

We allow up to two medium sized dogs per cabin for a $15 fee per stay.

  • Guest agrees to immediately clean up after pet in the room, on the hotel grounds and in Dunes City.

  • Guest agrees to be responsible for any and all damage caused by any pets in the unit and on the hotel property.

  • If the pet is left unattended at any time, guest agrees to keep the pet in a kennel.

  • Guest agrees to hold Westlake Resort's owners, employees and other guests free from liability in any way in regards to the pet's actions.

  • Pets are to be restrained at all times on a leash no longer than 10 feet in all public areas.

  • Pets must be current on vaccinations and in good health.

  • Guest assumes any and all financial responsibility for any damage caused in any way by the pet. Including but not limited to, scratches, carpet cleaning, stained linens, hair removal, odor removal, or any other damage caused by the pet.

  • Guest agrees to be mindful of the comfort of other guests and employees and agrees to minimize any noise caused by the pet.

  • Westlake Resort staff reserves the right to terminate a stay without refund of any guest whose pet(s) are considered a nuisance. Guests will be asked to agree to these policies in writing, pay the nightly per pet fee and agree to have any damages paid by credit card.

If I don't book a boat rental now, can I still get a discounted rate during my stay?

Absolutely! If you are staying in one of our cabins, fishing boat rentals are half price.

I'm bringing my own boat, can I dock it there for my stay?

Yes! Currently we do not charge for docking your boat at our marina during your stay. There may be a day use fee at the public launch next door.

Do I need to bring linens, towels, pots and pans?

We provide bedding and towels, as well as a kitchen with a stove, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, pots, pans, plates and utensils. All you should need is clothes and food. If something is missing, please let us know!
